Accu-Length
Adjustable Children's Clubs
|
I,
for one, believe that you can never start a kid playing golf too
young. And as parents we only want the best equipment for our
kids. Unfortunately, the best rarely comes cheap. That makes it
kind of hard to shell out bags of cash for things that the crumb-snatchers
tend to quickly outgrow. Accu-Length feels your pain, and to help
out they've come out with their Accu-Length Expandable Pro Quality
Junior Golf Club System, a high-end set of children's golf clubs
that is designed to grow with your kid. Featuring an extendable
shaft via aluminum spacers, the Accu-Lengths can be adjusted to
cover several inches of growth at the twist of a wrist, virtually
eliminating the need to replace clubs every time your child grows.
Sounds
great, but how sturdy can they be once you get several spacers
in the shaft? Accu-Length has taken great pains to ensure that
their spacers fit snugly and securely throughout all stages of
each club size. The spacer lock system uses a powerful built-in
resin between spacers to ensure that the spacers stay put and
the clubs have a solid feel. The grip and shaft are also held
firmly in place via locking pins on either side of the spacers.
After the shaft has been adjusted and the resin has time to set,
your little darling can swing as hard and as often as he or she
wants without worry.
Each
of the four Accu-Length sets comes standard with an adjustable
driver, seven iron, putter, and pitching wedge (pitching wedge
optional in the smallest set). Also included in each set is a
dual strap matching stand bag that can be adjusted with risers
to accommodate the expanding clubs. Accu-Length also has optional
woods and five irons if you feel that your kid needs a more rounded
set. Bear in mind that these aren't low quality clubs. With stainless
steel heads, rubber grips and shafts with varying flex depending
on the age group, these clubs were made for years and years of
use. And with the spacer system, your child gets a custom fitted
club for every stage of growth.
Without
a doubt, the Accu-Length is the only set of clubs to get if you
have a child still in the growing stages. Each set comes with
clubs, a stand bag, a sizing chart that measures the child for
proper custom fitting, 12 one-inch spacers with pouch, two custom
assembly tools, four locking screws, and a CD-ROM that includes
assembly instructions, sizing information, and a private junior
golf lesson from Rudy Duran (Tiger Woods' first golf coach). Available
in four models covering child heights ranging form 39 to 47 inches,
45 to 55 inches, 51 to 59 inches and 55 to 62 inches, for about
one hundred thirty to two hundred dollars (way cheaper than the
cost of four sets of replacement clubs) you can grab a set at
your local golf shop or online at www.AccuLength.com.
