There's
nothing like taking your shot or a practice swing and getting
a big clump of dirt, grass or sand stuck on the face of your club.
The first thing you try is a quick drag through the grass, only
to find that the loft of the club keeps the face well above the
surface of the ground. Next, you try stomping it off with your
shoe; this simply does nothing. Finally you resort to brushing
the gunk off with your glove; now you have a dirty hand and wet
fingers from the dew. I can't tell you how many golf gloves I've
ruined doing exactly what I've described. If only somebody would
come up with a quick and truly convenient way to clean loose debris
off of a clubface when you are away from the cart. Well worry
no more fairway farmer, for A-Game has you covered with their
Brisole technology. The big idea: Brisole shoes have tiny rubber
bristles built into the outsole of the shoe that are specifically
designed to brush away grass, sand, leaves or any such refuse
that should find its way onto your clubs. Simply drag the offending
clubface across the side of your shoe and you're ready to go.

Technology in Action

It sounds utterly ridiculous,
but the way that this idea is implemented is actually quite ingenious.
I tested a pair of A-Game's Classic Executives with the Brisole
technology and I'm a believer. In fact, I'd go so far as to say
that I'm pretty much ruined for any other shoe. They are so easy
and so convenient that I found myself running the club across
my foot out of habit after each and every shot by the end of the
first round with them. Cleaning clubs after every stroke is a
time waster, but with the Brisoles, it takes literally one second.
Don't get the idea that these
shoes are one trick ponies. Featuring a high grade, full grain
leather upper with an action leather saddle and heel, they aren't
afraid to walk the course. And the Q-Lock Stinger spikes and the
lightweight rubber combination sole will keep you grounded even
when you drive for the greens.
The Brisole bristles are designed
to be functional yet understated. Despite how they appear in pictures,
in real life they are barely noticeable. In no way do they draw
attention away from the look of the shoes.
The bottom line is that these are the shoes
to get if you are tired of messing up your gloves, shoes or pants
legs when you get grass or other crud on your club face. A brilliant
idea that is executed perfectly, A-Game's Brisole shoes are an
excellent buy. Available in several styles, and in regular and
half-sizes from men's 8 to 10.5, you can grab a pair starting
at eighty-five dollars at a shop near you or online at www.Brisole.com.
